Summary:
We are seeking a skilled biochemist for our Monrovia location to join the Biophysical and Bioanalytical Characterization team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the characterization of the biophysical properties of our pipeline of exciting pre-clinical antibody variants and assist in developing new assays as needed. Responsibilities:
Expand the biophysical characterization efforts at Xencor Support the antibody discovery and engineering processes at Xencor through real-time binding characterization and data fitting Support molecule thermostability and developability characterization and data fitting Communicate results through detailed record keeping, summary reports and presentations Collaborate on biotherapeutics projects with a project lead - from conception to therapeutic candidate nomination and IND filing Contribute to the scientific direction and project vision Accomplish goals under project team timelines Instrument maintenance and other general lab duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Biology or related field is required. 2 to 4
years relevant hands-on experience required. Previous experience in a biotech environment is desired. Previous management experience is a strong plus Hands on experience with assay design, data collection and data fitting for a variety of binding, thermostability and developability assays (i.e. DSF, DSC, DLS, SPR, BLI, etc.) Experience with high throughput liquid handling is a plus Excellent time management, record keeping and organizational skills Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team. Self-Motivated, strong inter-personal and communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Physical, Mental and Environment Demands:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
