You will be responsible for owning the Credit and Collections segment of the Accounts Receivable department.
The hired Credit and Collections Specialist will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager DUTIES OF THE CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST Accounts Receivable (A/R) Monitor all A/R metrics, including the Aged Trial Balance and Days Sales Outstanding Apply and post all payments (cash, credit cards, wires) for all client accounts Look out for discrepancies between monies received and stated amount Contact clients and/or vendors on all past due invoices Resolve all payment disputes Work with the Sales and Operations departments to coordinate collection efforts Run Dun and Bradstreet credit reports on the company's clients Release sales orders for delivery Miscellaneous Perform other ad hoc duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST Required At least three (3) years in an Accounts Receivable (A/R) role with particular emphasis in collections Chargeback and cash receipt experience High school diploma Preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience Health care and/or medical devices industry experience SKILLS OF THE CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST Required Technical Expert-Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas) Interpersonal Superior customer service skills Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work at a fast pace Ability to work well with fellow accounting colleagues Ability to work well with fellow employees in other departments Preferred Technical Oracle For further information, submit your resume in MS Word format to me.
