The ideal candidate for the Intake Coordinator should be very detailed, organized, and assertive and be able to multi-task with excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate should have some experience in a medical setting, be able to follow directives and complete assignments quickly and with a high degree of accuracy.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for emailing and updating clinical staff for status of client's benefits and authorization process in a professional manner Obtain appropriate information from Insurance companies for obtaining an authorization for services Prepare and obtain documents needed for authorization Log and update database of all reports received/due from clinical staff, clients Update Central Reach and Sales Force database daily with accurate data, status changes, notes and/or communication from staff Work closely with clinical staff and other staff in intake, billing and collections department Respond to client inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, scanning, faxing and photocopying Assist other authorization department staff and be a strong team player when needed Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc) At least Two years of Insurance Intake or Medical Billing experience preferred Strong organizational skills and detail oriented in your work Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines Strong Communication skills (both speaking and writing is a must) Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and adjust workload accordingly Demonstrate problem solving and judgment capabilities Additional Requirements:
