The qualified person has at least 1 to 2 years of retail work experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept.
This role is based in our office in Monrovia, California.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:
Reconciling store inventories and posting selected store inventory results.
Providing store support for inventory related issues.
Performing inventory related journal entries and month-end accruals as needed.
Preparing monthly account reconciliations and analysis.
Streamlining processes, identifying efficiency opportunities where available and making recommendations.
Providing assistance with tasks and backup when needed to other accounting crew members Completing other projects or tasks as assigned.
Working collaboratively with other departments.
The qualified person has:
1 to 2 years' experience working in a retail environment.
Previous General Ledger work experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
The ability to dig into the details to research and reconcile accounts.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
