Essential Functions:
Set up 2-axis CNC lathe machines for repeat jobs as per process sheets.
Manage CNC programs for lathe machine setup and operation.
Interpret manufacturing paperwork to meet customer specifications.
Inspect own work before submission for quality assurance.
Adhere to work schedules and process necessary paperwork.
Communicate production issues and suggestions for improvement.
Perform hand-work operations as needed.
Update and optimize cycle times.
Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Skills, Knowledge, and
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of CNC lathe machine experience preferred.
Proficient in understanding and editing CNC lathe programs.
Familiarity with inspection tools and blueprint reading.
Strong shop math skills for measurement conversion.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including manufacturing software.
Physical Demands:
Walking, standing, bending, and lifting objects up to 25lbs.
Repetitive motions involving arms, wrists, and hands.
Perceiving object attributes and effective communication.
Work Environment:
Exposure to machinery in a machine shop environment.
Clean and well-ventilated production areas.
Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.
Moderate noise levels.
