Express Employment of Covina, CA is seeking a Tool Pre Setter for our client located in Monrovia, CA.

Tool Pre Setter Company Overview:
Long term temp to hire Opportunity.
Full time work - 40 hours a week with potential Overtime.
Position Overview:
Operate computerized tool pre -setting machine to set tool length offsets.
Inspect tools for defects and wear, reporting any issues to the Supervisor.
Assemble and disassemble cutting tools into holders.
Pre-set tools for milling and turning, preparing them for machining work.
Identify tools using tags or electronic marking.
Coordinate with Production Control and colleagues to ensure timely pre-sets.
Technical Skills Required:
Preferably 0-2 years of CNC lathe and/or mill machining experience; NTMA certificate or similar technical schooling is advantageous.
Experience in a machine shop, especially with tool pre-setting, is a bonus.
Proficient in shop math and adept at measurement conversion.
Skilled in using measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and prioritizing tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Committed to continuous improvement and disciplined processes.
Work Environment:
Work in a machine shop environment with big equipment.
Maintain clean and well-ventilated areas.
Wear safety gear like safety glasses for machine operation.
Experience moderate noise levels.
Walk, stand, sit, and bend as needed.
Lift objects up to 10lbs, occasionally 25lbs.
Use repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands and fingers.
