Due to our rapid growth, a newly created position exists within our IT Department as a Helpdesk/
computer
Technician. The Computer Technician's role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform desktop PC, server and printer
repair
and support
Repair and configure equipment needed to support daily ticket volume
Assist in resolving low level trouble
tickets
Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance
Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal
Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations

Qualifications:
Associate's degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience
CompTIA Server+ certification
Basic knowledge of PC, server, printer troubleshooting and repair
Basic hardware troubleshooting experience (server, motherboards, hard drives, discs, etc.)
Basic Linux troubleshooting
Proficient using and troubleshooting MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce
Excellent communication skills and customer service
Ability to work a day shift, and be flexible in order to support the team
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
