Manufacturing Technician, Sr Staff

Job Description and Responsibilities:
Responsible for precision optical and electronic assembly, test, set-up and general technicalsupport of laser, filter, and spectroscopy systems manufacturing/product development. Performs precision optical alignment and assembly tasks; electronics assembly and testing;optical measurement, inspection, and characterization of lasers, filters, and systems;production and returned product troubleshooting; and set-ups of laser and optics testexperimental apparatus. Provides support to both operations and engineering in production and product development. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform manufacturing assembly, test, inspection and troubleshooting operations in aproduction environment Complete manufacturing, test, and experiment documentation Support product development and research experiments Support of engineering and manufacturing engineering personnel as required

Education and Work Experience:
AA or equivalent in optics, electronics, engineering, fiber-optics or electro-optics with minimum3 years experience working with optics, lasers and photonics devices and test/inspectionequipment in a research, product development or manufacturing environment. Ideal candidatewould have a year or more work experience in fiber optic component laser coupling, andfamiliarity with electronic and optical test and measurement equipment (microscopes, opticalpower meters, optical spectrum analyzers, wavelength meters, laser mode measurement,current/voltmeters). Experience doing fine mechanical work a plus as the job entails working with very smallcomponents, occasionally under a microscope. Must have knowledge of basic math andalgebra, and basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processor experience. Mustbe able to follow written procedures as well as verbal instructions and fill out test andmanufacturing paperwork. This job will require extensive training and candidate must havegood learning skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
