Head of Information Technology

We seek a Head of Information Technology, to manage and evolve our IT infrastructure to align with our long-term business requirements and needs. We are seeking candidates with a successful track record executing IT strategy in a growing company and the ability to manage IT team members and be hands on when needed.  The role involves ensuring the alignment of products and operations with existing and new compliance objectives and risk mitigation for security. The manager will be responsible for all IT functions, recommending process and program improvements, understanding and anticipating technology needs and leading a team that proactively meets these objectives. Job Duties include: oGrow and manage an IT team to support all corporate systems for two offices located in Southern California (Monrovia, CA and San Diego, CA).  oDesign and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure IT infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. oManage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems. oOversee daily operations including ticket queue management, development, and reporting of key metrics (response/resolution times), development of end-user guides and FAQ's. oOversee Desktop Support functions: support Windows, and systems: VMware ESXi servers, Mitel (ShoreTel) communications services, iSCSI SAN, Windows servers, Office 365 and Azure services, Windows desktops/laptops, iPhones, telecommunications, voicemail, patching/updates, WatchGuard firewall/VPN devices, Backup Exec disk- and tape-based backups, LAN/WAN, technical support, security patching.  oManage and maintain current systems to include: Bamboo HR system, Concur; Replicon, research and document systems (DMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELN's), and single sign on (SSO).  oManage IT asset management, including maintenance of hardware and software license inventory, lifecycle management and related documentation. oNegotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure IT products and services. oIn conjunction with the facilities department, architect and assist upgrades for our offices oEstablish and enforce corporate IT security policies and standards. oBe responsible for IT forecasting and budgeting. oBe metrics driven; identify, collect and optimize IT metrics which will help measure the success and efficiency of the IT team. oSupport the identification, validation and remediation of information technology controls. oDevelop documentation and maintain compliance policies, processes, procedures and standards. Qualifications/Requirements:   o7-10 years of IT experience with 2+ years managing an IT Team. oExperience with Windows.  o3+ years' experience in a Publicly held company. o2+ years in Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences organization preferred not required.  oExperience working in a fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptable.  oExperience creating and implementing IT security policies.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
