HVAC Designer

Purpose: With-in the Mechanical Utilities group performs a wide variety of difficult and highly complex engineering, design, analysis, or other technical tasks utilizing current technology and available standards, templates and cataloged products.  May provide project supervision for medium to large projects.  Implements the Company Procedures Manual while seeking improvements to work processes and design approaches.  Develops innovative technical solutions to complex problems.  Mentor subordinates. Experience and Qualifications BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.  Expert knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures, good verbal and written English skills. Typically minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. Special Job Requirements Proficient in performing HVAC designs and equipment selection for commercial and industrial buildings. Knowledgeable with ASHRAE Standards and Building and Fire Codes (IBC, IFC, IPC and NFPA). Support the development of HVAC Flow Diagrams and equipment and plumbing Layouts. Proficient with AutoCAD, Micostation and PDS. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
